Ms. Mary Lovig was born and grew up in Des Moines, IA.  Mary graduated from Des Moines Tech High, and in 1969 she graduated from Omaha Public School of Practical Nursing.  She worked in numerous areas of nursing both within and outside hospitals.  In 1997, Mary returned to school and graduated from Des Moines Area Community College wtih an Associates Degree in Nursing.

Mary has had numerous experiences in combining her love of nursing with her love for God.  She has worked as a parish nurse and has taken her medical skills into Central America on 5 different occasions to serve the less fortunate in those areas.  Mary continues to volunteer medical services on both sides of the Texas/Mexico border.  She moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1998 and began school nursing in Mission CISD in 2004.

Mary has one son, Jon Kingston, who also lives in the Valley.  Jon and his wife Dorina are parents of Mary's 2 grandsons (Andrew and David) who are students at OLG.  Mary enjoys spending her free time with her grandsons, enjoys cooking and crafts.

Mary is our nurse and also our library manager.  We are happy to have Mary on our team and joining in on all our activities.
