Mrs. Diana Olivarez 

Mrs. Diana (Leal) Olivarez is a native of the Rio Grande Valley. She was born in Mission and grew up in Penitas, Texas.   Mrs. Olivarez attended public schools and graduated from La Joya I.S.D.
 
Mrs. Olivarez received an Associates Degree at Pan-American University and attended Southwest Montessori Training Center in Denton, Texas in 1993. In 1996, she received her certification in Religious Education from the Diocese of Brownsville and in 2000, Mrs. Olivarez was trained and certified in the Catechist of the Good Shepherd Program.
 
Mrs. Olivarez worked at La Joya and Brownsville schools. She worked at Our Lady of Sorrows School in McAllen for 11 years as a Pre-K, Kinder teacher. She taught at Sagebrush Montessori for one year and came to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School in August of 2005. Mrs. Olivarez is currently teaching Pre-K and Kinder (Montessori Program) while incorporating the Catechist of the Good Shepherd Program in the classroom.
 
Mrs. Olivarez is married to Amado Olivarez, Jr.  She has three children: Darla (Rico) Hernandez,  Marco, a student at Pan American University; and Megan who is also studying at Pan American University.
