Mrs. Shirley Dodge

 

Mrs. Dodge (Temple) was born in Creston, Iowa and raised by her grandmother in Rosendale, Missouri.  It was in Missouri where Shirley attended grade and high school.

After high school graduation, Mrs. Dodge attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolvair, Mo.  She received an associate degree and began her teaching career.  After her first year of teaching she married and became the mother of 2 sons, Kevin and Kelly.

Later Mrs. Dodge continued her studies and received a BS in Education and a Masters in Reading.  She taught for 47 years before her retirement both in Catholic and Public Education.  Mrs. Dodge also taught Special Education for 5 years.

Mrs. Dodge has two dogs, Papito and Papita, and is the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Danielle, Kamron and Konner. 

Mrs. Dodge started at OLG as part-time aide in Grade 1.  She is currently teaching Language Arts and Social Studies to the 6th graders.  Mrs. Dodge loves her students and they are certainly keeping her young.
