Sr. Colleen Matarese, SSD 

 

Sr. Colleen is a native of Warren, Rhode Island.  Sister attended elementary catholic and public schools and then graduated from Our Lady of Fatima High School in Warren, Rhode Island, where she later taught for 20 years.

Sr. Colleen entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Dorothy in 1984 and made her final profession in 1994.

Sister received a BS in Education and Mathematics at Rhode Island College in Providence, R.I.  She attended the graduate program at Rhode Island College and received her Masters in School Counseling and Chemical Dependency.

Sr. Colleen has been teaching both elementary and high school for 23 years.  She has taught all elementary subjects and while teaching on the high school level she taught Mathematics and Religion.  While at Our Lady of Fatima High School, Sr. Colleen was class advisor, Student Council advisor and SADD (Students against Destructive Decisions) advisor.

Her friendly and outgoing personality enables her to comfortably connect with students, parents, faculty and staff.  We are happy to have Sr. Colleen join our staff at OLG.
